The judgment on the authentic as expressed in the description above was confirmed by “Nippon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyokai” (NBTHK) issuing a Fuchi-Kashira 特別保存刀装具鑑定書 Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu Kanteisho” certificate number: 2005179.
Provided on 平成三十年十一月十六日. Heisei san jû nen gatsu jû rokû hi. November 16, 2018 (16-11-2018).

背景情報： この縁頭は英重の作で、名前は輝秀とも読みます。彼は享保十五年生、1730年に生まれ、寛政十年没、1798年に亡くなりました。 姓は大森、諱は喜宗次。芸術家としては一濤斎、龍雨斎と名乗っていた。二代目英重は輝政の甥であり養子であった。 養父の跡を継いで大森家の当主となり、二代となる。彼は武蔵国の江⼾で働いていました。
Background info: This sword fitting was made by Hideshige, whose name can also be read as Teruhide. He was born in 1730 (Kyoho 15) and died in 1798 (Kansei 10). His surname was Omori, and his given name was Kisoji. As an artist, he used the names Ittosai and Ryusai. The second generation Hideshige was Terumasa’s nephew and adopted son. He succeeded his adoptive father as the head of the Omori family, becoming the second (Nidai) generation. He had been working in Edo in Musashi Province. |
