この掻剥がしという技法はあまり一般的ではありません。そのため、ごく少数のアーティストによって限定的に使用されている。

This scraping technique is not very common. Therefore, it is used only by a very small number of artists.

歴史 History

背景情報：

この小塚は就方の作ですが、ヘインズはこの作家を成高と読んでいますので、私はこれが五代だと思います。 この小塚が作られたとき、就方は67歳でした。姓は梅忠、名は加治右衞門。

 彼は梅忠恭貞の息子であり、梅忠就受の孫でした。就方は 18 世紀後半、武蔵国の江⼾で働いていました。

 削り剥がしは日本の伝統的な銅と銀の合金です。その名前は英語に訳すと「4分の1」となる。四分一は、武士の刀の柄や鞘の装飾によく使用されました。志布一の組成は公称で銅75％、銀25％だが、銀の含有量は5％～60％の範囲である。

Background info:

This Kozuka was made by Narimasa, but Haynes reads the artist’s name as Naritaka, This Kozuka is the work of Narikata, but Haynes identifies this artist as Naritaka, so I think this is Godai (5th Gen.) When this Kozuka was created, Mr. Narukata was 67 years old. His surname was Umetada and his given name was Kaji Uemon.

He is a son of Umetada Yukisada and grandson of Umetada Noritsugu. Narikata worked in Edo, Musashi Province, in the latter half of the 18th century.

Shibu-ichi is a traditional Japanese copper / silver alloy. The name translates into English as “one quarter”. Shibu-ichi was often used to decorate a samurai swords handle and scabbard. Shib-uichi has a nominal composition of 75% copper and 25% silver but can range from 5% – 60% silver.
