The judgment on the authentic as expressed in the description above was confirmed by “Nippon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyokai” (NBTHK) issuing a Fuchi-Gashira 特別保存刀装具鑑定書 Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu Kanteisho” certificate number: 2003277.

Provided on 平成二十八年五月十一日.  Heisei ni jû hachi nen go gatsu jû ichi hi.  May 11, 2016 (11-05-2016).

Fuchi & Gashira is suitable Wakizashi and Katana.

歴史 History

This Fuchi-Gashira 縁頭 is a joint work of Hamano Naoyuki and Hamano Naochika 浜野直随+(花押) & 浜野直親+(花押). The family name of both is Hamano 浜野, Naoyuki 直随 sometimes also used the family name Tōyama 達山.

Naoyuki 直随 was born in the year Hōreki yo nen 宝暦四年生, 1754 and died in the year Bunsei  Jû  nen 文政十年, 1827. His personal name was Denzō 傳蔵. He also used several artist names such as: Gaiundō 雲蓋堂, Bōsōken 望図軒, Katsuryūken 葛龍軒, Shūgōdō 秋壱, 堂 or Shūgōdō 秋号堂, Tōun 東雲 and Yōryūken 楊龍軒.

Naoyuki 直随 was a student of shōdai Hamano Noriyuki 初代浜野典之 / 初代浜野矩随 and Konakamura Naonori 小中村直矩. He worked in Edo, Musashi kuni, Shinano kuni and Echigo kuni 江⼾, 武蔵国, 信濃国 and 越後国.

Naochika 直親 used the proper name Seibei 清兵衛, as a stage name he used Katsuryūken 葛龍軒 and Gagetsudō 臥月堂. Naochika 直親 was a student of Naoyuk 直随. He worked in Kōfu, Kai kuni 甲府, 甲斐国.
